About me: This song came to me at a time of challenge and loss, and this is how I experienced it. Soft, Angelic voices whispering melodious sounds of healing and love began to put me at ease as Images of ancestors circled around and flooded me with light and protection. Family, friends, music mentors, and seers, I could feel their presence pushing me to keep going and look beyond my circumstances because there is a melody for me to sing. Much later, I sang the melody and lyrics to the late maestro Onaje Allen Gumbs, who immediately started arranging, and together we crafted this recording and invited you to “Listen with Your Heart”.
