About me: The song was inspired shortly after the events of 911. With the city on edge and the country being torn apart, hope was needed in order to rebuild. I became motivated after hearing conversations between first responders helping out with the rescue effort. Their determination and optimistic out look was evident. Their aim was to support their brothers which is how they described themselves, "brothers." Their words stuck with me, which prompted the opening lines to my song - "Get a message to my brother..." I believe that having a brighter out look with a helping hand, can only make for a better day. I chose The ARC as my charity of choice because my son was born with a neurological disorder. What's needed, is a strong and positive support system, combined with love which is what ARC provides. That will help him and others navigate their way through life.
